John's 2nd Place winner in the WPJA/Brides.com 2010 photo contest

Another quick post with some exciting news… This photo of Lenna and Harllee that I took in September of 2009 won a second place award from the Wedding Photojournalist Association/Brides.com 2010 photo contest. Here are the judges comments about my photo:

Perfect image of marital bliss. Lots of atmosphere and warm light. Love the dog in the right corner of the frame and sense of motion.

Lenna and Harllee had a very fun wedding at the Taber Ranch in the Capay Valley near the town of Esparto.

The 500 acre ranch offer stunning backdrops for beautiful romantic weddings in a very private and rustic setting.

The hilltop above the barn has an amazing panoramic view of the Capay valley. The lawn where Lenna and HArllee had their wedding ceremony overlooks a pond filled with colorful Koi. The wedding reception was held in a beautifully elegant 70-year old rustic barn.
