Vera and Joe got married in September at the Scribner Bend Vineyards along the Sacramento River in Clarksburg, California.

The vineyards, less than 15 miles from downtown Sacramento, are quite beautiful and provide a romantic backdrop for a wedding.

The staff at Scribner Bend was amazing and were great hosts for a wonderful wedding.

Leyla and Steve got married at the beautiful Viansa Winery in Sonoma. It was a spectacular day for a wedding and the weather was just lovely – a little on the breezy side, but that kept things from getting too hot.

The winery has wonderful romantic Tuscan architecture with some amazingly gorgeous views of the Sonoma Valley.

I also photographed Leyla and Steve’s engagement photos at Capitol Park and in Old Town Sacramento.

David Girard Vineyards wedding photography – Amanda & Josh

I had such a fun time working with Amanda and Josh doing their wedding photos and engagement shoot. What a great couple.

Their wedding ceremony and reception was at David Girard Vineyards just outside of Placerville, California. Amanda is a former employee at the winery, working as an assistant winemaker, her father runs the wine-making operations at the vineyards. Good wine + good friends = good times!

After the wedding ceremony was over we went into the grape vines for some photos at David Girard Vineyards in Placerville.

The purple theme – Vintage Inn wedding reception photos, Yountville, Napa Valley – Part 2

Camille and Radu had their wedding reception at the beautiful Vintage Inn in the Napa Valley town of Yountville. The dinner was held in a tent on the grounds with dancing and more activities after dinner in the Barrel Room also on the grounds of the Vintage Inn. There was a five course dinner with a wine paired with each of the courses. A foodies paradise! As you can see from the photos the color for the dinner was purple. Although I can color correct these to remove the purple cast, these images capture the essence of the colors that were at the dinner that evening.

The first course was was a “Seafood Trio” of Ahi tuna poke with soy ponzu vinaigrette on crisp lumpia, Dungeness crab cake with tarragon aioli and seared scallops with a fig relish. This was paired with a 2006 Mer Soleil “Silver” Unoaked Chardonnay. The second course was “Butter Lettuce Salad” consisting of Del Cabo tomatoes, feta cheese, crispy basil, brioche croutons with a tomato basil vinaigrette. This was paired with a 2007 Farella-Park Sauvignon Blanc. The third course was a “Harissa Marinated Beef Short Rib” with creamy orzo and a Caponata duo. This course was paired with a 2007 Robert Foley Charbono. The fourth course consisted of a “Roasted Spring Lamb” served with carrot polenta and a salsa verde. This was paired with a 2006 Dovetail Pinot Noir. The fifth and final course was a desert called “Trio of Pot de Cremes,” the trio consisting of chocolate, butterscotch and tiramisu. This was served with a 1994 Quinta Do Buceiro Port.

Well, if that doesn’t make you hungry I’m not sure what will (vegetarians excepted)…

First Congregational Church of Sonoma wedding photos – Camille & Radu

On Friday April 24, 2009 I photographed the wedding ceremony of Camille and Radu at the First Congregational Church of Sonoma on Spain Street in Sonoma, California. I photographed the wedding with Alain Martinez, an outstanding wedding and lifestyle photographer from Miami, Florida. The ceremony was held at the First Congregational Church of Sonoma and the reception followed at the Vintage Inn in the beautiful Napa Valley town of Yountville.

I’ve broken the photos up into a few blog posts since there were so many nice images that I wanted to share on my blog. This post has the images from the wedding ceremony and there are posts for the “Purple” theme of the wedding reception, the party in the “Barrel Room” at the Vintage Inn, detail photos of some of the fabulous touches that made this wedding unique… so enjoy the photos…

Following the delicious five course meal the wedding guests headed over to the Barrel Room at the Vintage Inn for dancing and more celebrations. Camille and Radu arrived after all of the guests had a chance to get settled and had their first dance.
