In the elevator - going to get changed for the western version of the wedding wedding at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Downtown Seattle.
Sophia and Kurtis got married at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in downtown Seattle.
This Seattle wedding had two ceremonies, the first was a traditional Chinese tea ceremony where family members and close friends exchange gifts and tea with the bride and groom. The second was a traditional western style wedding with about 200 guests.
After the tea ceremony, the bride got out of her traditional Chinese dress and put on a wedding dress for some photos at the Pike Street Market. It was fun taking photos in Post Alley with all of the tourists milling about.
After the photos there was a wedding ceremony at the Grand Hyatt followed by a reception with dancing, a game room, and gambling area.
I was working with photographer Eric Sartoris of Norther Lights photography at this wedding, which was coordinated by Merry Beth Turpin.
