San Francisco engagement photography – Michelle & Marshall

Michelle and Marshall got engaged at the Point Bonita lighthouse, so naturally they wanted to do a few engagement photos there during their engagement shoot...

Michelle and Marshall got engage at the Point Bonita Lighthouse in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area on the coast in Marin County. We started our engagement shoot there and were met with overcast skies and a fair amount of wind… As we walked up the hill towards the parking lot the sun started breaking through the clouds and soon the weather was stunning.

We made our way from the lighthouse to the Palace of Fine Arts – always a fun place to shoot some photos… Then it was off to Market Street to find a classic San Francisco Trolly. We were lucky enough to get on this one before it picked up all of the passengers who were waiting for their ride… Off to the ferry building for a few photos and our session was complete.

What a fun afternoon!

I love shooting engagement photos at the Palace of Fine Arts - so many great places for fun photos there!

And what better way to finish up than some engagement photos on a San Francisco Trolly car on Market Street and at the Ferry building on the Embarcadero...

Vizcaya Pavilion & Mansion wedding photography, Ashley & Joe

Some wedding portraits of Ashley and Joe at the Vizcaya Pavilion and in the surrounding neighborhood.

Ashley and Joe were married at the Vizcaya Pavilion and Mansion in Sacramento last June. The bride and groom got ready in the Mansion with their friends and family and had their wedding ceremony on the patio behind the Mansion. Following a cocktail hour, the party move indoors to the Pavilion for dinner and dancing. Music and Emceeing was provided by Larry Burow at Extreme Productions.

Vintage Estate wedding photography, Yountville – Sally & Tim

Sally and Tim got married at the beautiful Villagio and Vintage Estate in Yountville, California. The bride and groom got ready at the luxurious Villagio Inn & Spa and had their wedding ceremony in a tent at the Vintage Inn and Estate, which is part of the same property.

Following the wedding ceremony, guests had a cocktail hour and dinner in the tent following by dancing and deserts in the famed Barrel Room at the Vintage Inn. They also had a cigar roller on hand making handmade cigars for guests.

Julia and Tom were married at the beautiful Ramekins Culinary Institue in Sonoma, California. They were a super fun couple and had a really wonderful Sonoma wedding with lots of friends and family. The day started out looking like rain, but the wedding gods showed up and kept things dry for the lucky couple.

Ramekins has a beautiful European styled courtyard that is just a gorgeous setting for a wedding – just a few blocks from downtown Sonoma. The folks at Ramekins could not have been more professional and great to work with – thanks for having such a great venue.

Congratulations to Julia and Tom, who are now expecting their first child! So, congratulations again for that!!

State Capitol wedding photos – Sacramento Convention Center wedding reception – Ida & Rajiv

I looks out her hotel window as she is getting ready for her wedding ceremony on the steps of the Capitol in Sacramento.

Ida and Rajiv had their wedding ceremonies on the west steps of the California State Capitol in Sacramento. They had two ceremonies for their wedding, and American ceremony and a Persian ceremony. Very fun and very interesting to experience. I just love learning about how different cultures celebrate the joining of two lives.

Ida and Rajiv got ready for the wedding in their suites at the Sheraton Gran Hotel in Sacramento. The wedding reception was held in the ballroom of the Sacramento Convention Center. Kendra Pfeiffer-Wershing of Pfeiffer Event Planning coordinated the wedding – as always she was a joy to work with. Flowers were done by Sarah Acrich of Cuttings, catering was done by Famous Kabob and the cake was created by Blatters Fine Foods & Deserts.

A big shout out goes to Anne Williams who helped me with the photography at this wonderful wedding – thanks Anne, it’s always fun working with you!

And finally, congratulations to Ida and Rajiv – it was a really fun wedding and great to get to know the two of you!

This is the second wedding I have photographed at Viansa Winery and I just love the beautiful spot they have for weddings set high up on the hill above the vines.

Old Sugar Mill wedding photos – Clarksburg, CA – Jessica & Darrel

Some really fun Old Sugar Mill wedding portraits in and around the ruins in Clarksburg, CA.

Jessica and Darrel were married at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Sacramento and had their wedding reception at the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg. The Old Sugar Mill is one of the most amazing places for great wedding photos in the Sacramento Area. Marnie Stiles, who runs the events for the Carvalho Family Winery, was wonderful to work with and really made the wedding day run smoothly. A great venue, a wonderful couple and a beautiful day – what more could you ask for.

I just love these wedding photos as the bridal party stopped for a quick snack at the taco truck on Freeport Boulevard on the way to the Old Sugar Mill for their wedding reception.

Placerville engagement photos – Amelia and Aaron

Amelia and Aaron chose the Sierra Foothills town of Placerville to start their engagement photo session. We wandered around town a took a few photos before heading out to the Apple Hill area just east of Placerville and wound up at High Hill Farms for some fun photos among the old tractors and fruit trees. We finished up the engagement photos at the historic Boeger Winery, which is also in the Apple Hill region. A fun engagement session with a great couple.

Amelia and Aaron were married this summer at the beautiful Hans Fahden Vineyards outside of Calistoga on the Napa/Sonoma county border. Congratulations Amelia and Aaron!

There was some beautiful February light for Kelsey and Aaron's engagement photo session at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco.

I had such fun with this engagement photo session with Kelsey and Aaron at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco. It was a beautiful February day and the afternoon light was just wonderful.

The Legion of Honor is such a wonderful place for photos and Kelsey and Aaron were such a fun couple to work with on this engagement shoot.

Kelsey and Aaron were married at the Vine Hill House in Sebastapol this fall. The photos from their wonderful wedding will be posted here shortly, so be sure to stop back and have a look.

We did Ida and Rajiv’s engagement photos in Land Park in Sacramento on a pretty December day. There was still a little color in some of the trees and a bunch of colorful leaves on the ground to add some pop to the engagement photos.

Land Park is a really fun place for an engagement photo shoot as there are a variety of different areas to go to within a short walk of the duck pond. Of course a fun beautiful couple makes it easy to capture some wonderful images.
