Stella and Jakub were married at the beautiful Viansa Winery in Sonoma, California.

This is the second wedding I have photographed at Viansa Winery and I just love the beautiful spot they have for weddings set high up on the hill above the vines.

It was a beautiful day for a Sonoma wedding and we got some amazing photos from their memorable day! Congratulations Stella and Jakub!!

Some really fun Old Sugar Mill wedding portraits in and around the ruins in Clarksburg, CA.

Jessica and Darrel were married at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Sacramento and had their wedding reception at the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg. The Old Sugar Mill is one of the most amazing places for great wedding photos in the Sacramento Area. Marnie Stiles, who runs the events for the Carvalho Family Winery, was wonderful to work with and really made the wedding day run smoothly. A great venue, a wonderful couple and a beautiful day – what more could you ask for.

I just love these wedding photos as the bridal party stopped for a quick snack at the taco truck on Freeport Boulevard on the way to the Old Sugar Mill for their wedding reception.

The Legion of Honor is such a wonderful place for photos and Kelsey and Aaron were such a fun couple to work with on this engagement shoot.

Lots of great opportunities for wonderful engagement photos at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco.

Kelsey and Aaron were lucky enough to have the entire quad of the Legion of Honor to themselves for these engagement photos.

We did Ida and Rajiv’s engagement photos in Land Park in Sacramento on a pretty December day. There was still a little color in some of the trees and a bunch of colorful leaves on the ground to add some pop to the engagement photos.

Land Park is a really fun place for an engagement photo shoot as there are a variety of different areas to go to within a short walk of the duck pond. Of course a fun beautiful couple makes it easy to capture some wonderful images.

Ida and Rajiv were married during a wedding ceremony on the steps of the Capitol in Sacramento and had their wedding reception at the ballroom of the Sacramento Convention Center. It was a blast – stay tuned for some wonderful photos from their amazing wedding.

Ashley and Joe chose the UC Davis Arboretum as the location for the engagement photo shoot - here they are in the Redwood Grove.

Ashley and Joe chose the UC Davis Arboretum for the engagement photo session and it was a stunning location for some really nice engagement photos.

Ashley works at UC Davis and had access to a golf cart for the three of us to get around the arboretum. That was really nice considering that the arboretum is over 100 acres in size.

The weather was great and the skies were clear which made for the perfect recipe for an evening photo shoot in the golden light of the early evening.

One of my favorite times of the day for engagement photos is in the early evening. The light is always so beautiful as the sun is setting and provides ample opportunity for stuffing photos.

One last engagement shot to close it off of Ashley and Joe watching the sun set from the golf cart that they used to drive around the arboretum.

Amanda and Troy were married at a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Grand Sierra Pointe that is owned by the Forest House Lodge. It is about a mile outside the town of Foresthill, where the lodge is located.

The couple got ready with their bridesmaids and groomsmen at the Lodge and then headed up to the overlook for the wedding ceremony.

The cocktails and reception were back in Foresthill at the lodge where a great time was had by all. Matt Brys of Extreme Productions handled the music and emceed the event for the evening. Flowers were done by Jujuan Francis of Design With Florae. Helping out with the photography at this wedding was my friend and fellow photographer Anne Williams – thanks Anne!

It was a beautiful wedding at a really fun venue with lots of fun people.

It has been a long time since I’ve updated my blog and I apologize for that. Now that the wedding season is pretty much behind me I am going to be regularly adding posts from weddings that I have shot over the past year or so.

This first one is from Angela and Chris’s wedding in Capitol Park and a reception at Harlow’s Night Club a couple of days later. The wedding was a small intimate event with just family and a few friends at the Rose Garden in Capitol Park.

Two days later they had an eighties prom themed wedding reception at Harlow’s Night Club on J Street in Sacramento. Angela and Chris wanted to take photos with their wedding party at some fun spots in Sacramento, so we spent about two hours cruising around town taking photos… Old Town Sacramento, R Street corridor, on K Street and various other locations – what fun that was. Everyone had a blast as the limo took us around to the locations and we jumped out and shot.

Many and Kevin share an intimate moment after walking down the aisle as a married couple at the Fausel Ranch in Placerville, CA.

Mandy and Kevin were married at the scenic Fausel Ranch in Placerville, California in August of 2010. Fausel Ranch was a very fun place to shoot with lots of great backdrops for photos. The rustic barn, the bubbling brook, pathways in the woods – it was just hard to miss when you have such a great couple and a fun location like this.
