Margaret and James decided that the grounds of the Palace of Fine Arts in the Marina District of San Francisco would make and ideal location for an engagement photo shoot and they were absolutely correct.
The Roman and Greek inspired architecture at the Palace of Fine Arts made for a wonderful backdrop for an engagement photo shoot.
We had beautiful weather at the end of June for the engagement shoot – the weather was warm and the late afternoon sun was shining brightly.
The Palace of Fine Arts was originally built in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific Exposition. It is now used for concerts and other arts events.

I love the shadows in this image - I'm always on the lookout for strong graphical elements in my photos as well as great moments and emotions.

Margaret and James decided they wanted their photos done in a black & white sepia tone as well as in color. I think the sepia give these images a classic look.

About a half an hour before I took this photo there was a film crew at this spot filiming a movie and had this whole are roped off.
